pete wentz on his suicidal experience

"I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and sat there and took a bunch of Ativan in a Best Buy parking lot. And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Ativan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital."

it feels bad when a band writes a song with your name as title, and the song kinda sucks. you want to like it,  but it’s just doesn’t happen.

rachel bilson tells all to playboy mag

get caught up with o.c.’s rachel bilson in an interview with playboy magazine!

bilson: movies can be sexy or sexual without showing things.

c.w.n.: what kinds of thing?

bilson:
like nipples and things.

c.w.n.: oh.

bilson: ya.

c.w.n.: hm.

bilson: i'm pretty strong willed.

c.w.n.: oh?

bilson: ya.

c.w.n.: okay. what are your thoughts on the roles that you get?

bilson: the roles i want usually go to kirsten dunst, keira knightley, scarlett johansson, natalie portman or kate bosworth - even though i look younger or older than a few of them. i understand they were once where i am now, and my ultimate goal is to get to that point. hopefully, i'll achieve it, but you never know.

c.w.n.: that’s right, you never know. better that you say that, just in case it doesn’t happen right?

bilson: ya.

not sure if you’re pregnant?

maybe the media knows best. here are some tips for jennifer to figure out if she’s pregnant or not. while every woman's body responds differently, there are some common pregnancy symptoms.

step one
after finding out through the national enquirer or any other reliable source that you may be pregnant, calculate when your period is due. if you have a regular cycle and you keep track of it, a late period is one of the earliest signs of pregnancy.

step two
check back with the tabloids to see if anything has changed then notice any other changes in your body. are you extremely sleepy? are your breasts tender? are you moody? though sometimes subtle, these changes can be clear indicators.

step three
buy a home pregnancy test at a pharmacy or grocery store, or online. choose one with two tests per box so you can double-check your results.

step four
test after you miss a period, or 14 days after you think you conceived.

step five
read and follow the test instructions carefully. some tell you to urinate in a cup; others say to urinate right on the test stick.

step six

if the test is positive, make an appointment with your doctor to confirm with other tests and a physical exam.

step seven
finally, call the national enquirer to find out what's going on.

that’s an interesting choice of words!

her recipe for plastic chocolate

this chocolate dough can be rolled out like a fondant, or molded to form roses, leaves or whatever. it's very simple to make, and quite impressive. this can also be made with white chocolate.

prep time: 15 Min
ready in: 5 Hrs 15 Min

ingredients:

  • 1 pound semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
directions:
1. melt chocolate in a large metal bowl over a pan of simmering water. stir occasionally until smooth. remove from heat, and stir in the corn syrup. the mixture will become sticky, but keep stirring until very well blended.

2. spoon onto a piece of plastic wrap, and wrap tightly. let stand at room temperature until firm before using. overnight is best. use unsweetened cocoa powder on work surfaces to prevent sticking.
